Ingrid has practiced exclusively in employee benefits law since 1997, dealing extensively with qualified retirement plans, health and welfare benefits plans, and nonqualified deferred compensation plans. Her practice includes plan design and drafting, employee communications, contract review, benefit claims, benefit plans in mergers and acquisitions, and the tax implications and administration of benefit plans. Ingrid represents clients in negotiations with the Internal Revenue Service and the Department of Labor regarding benefit plan compliance issues under the Internal Revenue Code and ERISA. She offers particular expertise in finding practical methods of compliance with the federal and state laws governing employee benefit plans, including HIPAA, COBRA and the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.
