A
partner is assigned to each summer associate as a mentor, whose
primary role is that of facilitator. The mentor participates in
most aspects of the program, including introducing the summer associate
to other attorneys in the firm and meeting with the summer associate
weekly for status reports on projects. The mentor is responsible
also for making sure that the summer associate receives adequate
feedback on work projects. An associate acts as a firm host for
each summer associate.
