We are pleased to announce that Willcox Savage attorney Stephanie Lauterbach-Diaz has earned the Certified Information Privacy Professional/United States (CIPP/US) credential through the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP).

The CIPP/US certification is awarded to those professionals who demonstrate an enhanced understanding of U.S. federal and state privacy laws and regulations applicable to the private sector; specifically, this certification covers the following areas:

  • U.S. privacy environment (including the FTC’s authority to regulate privacy practices)
  • Limits on private-sector collection and use of data (including laws relating to the medical, financial, and telemarketing industries)
  • Government and court access to private-sector information
  • Workplace privacy
  • State privacy laws

Stephanie regularly helps businesses navigate the constantly evolving U.S. privacy law landscape.
