Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Paralegal/Legal Assistant to join our Litigation team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a fast-paced legal environment and possess excellent communication and organizational skills.
Responsibilities:
- Billing and Timekeeping: Administer client billing and attorney timekeeping.
- Case and Document Management: Organize and maintain legal documents, medical records and pathology reports and assist with the preparation of expert materials.
- Case Preparation: Assist attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and depositions.
- Drafting Legal Documents: Prepare drafts of legal documents under the supervision of attorneys.
- Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to the legal team, including scheduling, correspondence, and managing deadlines.
Requirements:
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in paralegal studies or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in litigation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
