Willcox Savage is seeking a skilled and experienced Maritime Associate Attorney (1-3 years) to join our dynamic legal team. This attorney will be supporting active litigation in state and federal courts and advising clients on various business, transactional, and regulatory matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with all phases of maritime litigation, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, mediations, hearings, and trials.
- Draft and manage court filings.
- Support case preparation for state and federal proceedings.
- Advise maritime industry clients on administrative and regulatory compliance issues
Qualifications
- JD degree from an accredited law school.
- Active Virginia State Bar license.
- 1-3 years of litigation experience preferred.
- Experience preparing for federal and state court cases.
- Experience drafting and managing pleadings, briefs, depositions, mediations, hearings, and trials.
- Detail-oriented, good communicator with strong writing and organizational skills.
