Litigating Complex Business Disputes in State and Federal Courts

Jason is a seasoned commercial litigator admitted in Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, D.C. He litigates complex disputes in state and federal courts throughout Virginia and the DMV.  These include business break-ups, ownership and contract disputes, and business torts.  Jason also pursues efficient recoveries for unpaid notes and debts. Clients—from web developers, contractors, manufacturers, and auto dealers/repair shops to railroads, municipalities, media, lenders, franchisors, and tech companies—turn to Jason for practical, tailored strategies. His matters span inverse condemnation and preemption, trademark and false advertising, defamation, construction defects, real estate and boundary claims, environmental issues, and bankruptcy. Jason’s approach is direct, nimble, and outcome-focused.

Notable Work & Achievements

Jason represents businesses and individuals across the economy—technology teams and manufacturers, contractors and automotive companies, retailers and staffing firms, lenders and insurers, franchisors and transportation providers, real estate owners and developers, media and professional services, as well as railroads and municipalities. He also advises LLC members, corporate shareholders, trust beneficiaries, and creditors when control, value, or recovery is on the line.

His matters span the full spectrum of commercial disputes: contract fights with customers, vendors, and competitors; ownership and governance battles, derivative claims, and alter-ego issues; enforcement of loans, guaranties, and unpaid balances; statutory consumer claims and subrogation; trade secret misappropriation, breach of fiduciary duty, false advertising, and trademark infringement; defamation and other media torts; construction defects, warranty and landlord-tenant disputes, evictions, and boundary and specific-performance suits; architectural malpractice and real-estate brokerage fee conflicts; bankruptcy proceedings and fraud/theft recovery; as well as niche issues such as inverse condemnation, federal preemption, environmental litigation and misdemeanors, and demurrage disputes.

Whether advancing claims or mounting a defense, Jason focuses on practical strategy, disciplined execution, and measurable results.
