Tasos practices at the intersection of commercial real estate, healthcare, and corporate law—with a concentration in long-term care. He structures, finances, acquires and disposes of long-term care assets, such as nursing homes, assisted and independent living communities, and CCRCs.
As outside corporate counsel, Tasos advises a manager of 43 communities across nine states and has led transactions with a cumulative value exceeding $2 billion. Recent matters include the sale of a nonprofit’s Virginia Beach campus and transactions involving twelve assisted living facilities in Maine, a 10-facility nursing home portfolio, a Michigan CCRC, and seven Pennsylvania personal-care/dementia facilities. Tasos structures HUD-insured and A/R-backed credit facilities, advises on the acquisition of AL and IL projects, and negotiates leases with multiple publicly traded healthcare REITs.
