  • Successfully defended a company in a dispute with a customer seeking rescission of contract.

  • Represented multiple clients in cases involving allegations of tortious interference and breach of fiduciary duty.

  • Represented trustee seeking aid and direction from the court.

  • Drafted dispositive motions in defamation cases on behalf of media clients.

  • Obtained a court order that dissolved a prior restraint on publication and held that denial of access to a hearing was unconstitutional.

  • Represented client in case involving claims under the Telecommunications Act of 1996 and state zoning laws, including drafting dispositive motions and arguing motion for summary judgment.

  • Successfully defended an extended stay hotel in suit brought by a guest alleging an unlawful eviction under the Virginia Residential Landlord Tenant Act.

  • Represented multiple clients in unlawful detainer actions to evict tenants and recover unpaid rent.

  • Conducted legal research and drafted pretrial and trial memorandums on financing terms and the applicability of minority and marketability discounts when valuing a business in a suit dealing with a shareholder’s election to purchase in lieu of dissolution.

  • Drafted Daubert motions dealing with cost analysis and feasibility of a development plan in a Fair Housing Act case.

  • Drafted dispositive motions in ADA cases on behalf of employers.

  • Successfully defended against a Plea in Bar challenging the enforceability of a covenant not to compete executed in connection with the sale of a business.

  • Prepared and responded to discovery requests and litigated discovery disputes.
