Michael S. Ives has returned to the firm as the leader of our Banking Practice Group. Mike previously served as the President and CEO of both Heritage Bank and CENIT Bank, two local community banks, and as the Hampton Roads Market CEO for SouthTrust Bank, a regional bank. Prior to these positions, Mike was a partner at Willcox Savage.

Mike has extensive experience advising financial institutions on a wide range of matters, including: bank regulatory and compliance matters, loan closings and workouts, and directors and officers liability insurance contracts and coverage. 

Mike received his J.D. from the University of North Carolina and an A.B. from Duke University.
