Practice Support Senior Analyst

Responsibilities

The Practice Support Senior Analyst is a full-time on-site role located in our Norfolk, Virginia, office.

The Practice Support Senior Analyst should have the ability to communicate and work effectively with a variety of employees, paralegals, attorneys, and the Practice Support team. The individual should demonstrate proficiency in the entire litigation support process, including: database management, searching and reporting capabilities, scanning and coding procedures, electronic discovery, document production and trial support. This position also provides practice support to marketing and attorney business development efforts, as needed.

  • Works closely with the Director of IT and case teams to ensure accurate and timely completion of all requests.
  • Updates case team to maintain current status for all practice support projects. 
  • Assists eDiscovery teams with complex searching, tagging, filtering, and reviewing data sets.
  • Analyzes electronic media to determine content and the most effective ways to process the media.
  • Creates processes, checklists, and forms to provide overall guidance to attorneys, paralegals, and marketing as it relates to Practice Support Software.
  • For outsourced projects, serves as project manager and ensures scope and volume of work follows original statement of work and communicates any changes impacting cost/budget.
  • Identifies training needs and provides client training as needed.
  • Uploads data to databases and image collections, including Eclipse SE, iPro, Local Discovery and other Practice Support specific software.
  • Manages requests from the litigation teams as it relates to monthly tasks.
  • Monitors progress and ensures that task deliverables are accurate and timely.
  • Creates and maintains documents and transcript databases in Eclipse SE, Local Discovery Relativity, Microsoft 365, and like practice support applications.
  • Remains current on all industry trends and tools.
  • Prepares attorneys to use courtroom presentation tools (e.g., Trial Director). At times, the setup and operation of these tools in the courtroom will be necessary.
  • Serves as the point person for all technical support questions related to litigation support applications.

Qualifications

The Practice Support Senior Analyst must have an associates degree at a minimum, and/or at least three years experience providing practice support and working with litigation and practice support applications.
